One of The Greatest Speeches Ever Written

Please watch this video clip of The Great Dictator Speech from Charlie Chaplin’s “The Great Dictator” (1940). This movie is was a satirical take on Hitler’s Germany, with Chaplin playing the lead role of the Great Dictator himself. There are many different versions of this speech out there, but this one gets me particularly good with Hans Zimmer’s theme from “Inception” playing along side it.

“the Kingdom of God is within man” – not one man nor a group of men, but in all men! In you! You, the people have the power – the power to create machines. The power to create happiness! You, the people, have the power to make this life free and beautiful, to make this life a wonderful adventure.

This speech is important for many reasons, the most important being the message of love and unity. There isn’t any one man or group that rules the world. We as humanity must work together and use our hearts to make this world a better place. War isn’t the answer, don’t relinquish your self to those that seek the command of your soul, especially for selfish reasons. Love is the answer, love has always been the answer! Not just love for yourself, but love for your fellow man, woman and creature. Look within for “the Kingdom of God”, it has been there all along! You don’t need any world dominating organizations telling you that they are the only way to god – they are full of shit! Each person is capable of connecting with god through their own means within. This speech reminds us of that. We are capable of much more than what the powers of this world would want us to know. Break free of the shackles of control and unite!
