The Power of Morning Rituals

Morning rituals, in the simplest form, is connecting to yourself. Itʼs the practice of honoring yourself before you start your day. Who isnʼt guilty of having a to do list running through their head before their feet even touch the ground? I am certainly guilty of this. Before I get out of bed, the day ahead is already daunting.

The practice of a morning ritual can easily quiet the mind before the demands of the day take a hold of you. A morning ritual is the promise to yourself to start your day for you. Itʼs the time to connect to yourself and your soul. It helps set your intention for the day.

I know what you are thinking. There isnʼt enough time in my day to do this. I assure you that I too can find any excuse not to make time for myself. The good news is once you start, it gets easier to clear that sacred space for yourself. And all it takes is as little as five minutes.

There is no right or wrong how you create your morning ritual. In fact, it can change day to day. The common theme is honoring yourself and the day ahead. Taking time to acknowledge and thank yourself before the day begins.

The ritual can consist of anything that makes you happy. Anything from your favorite cup of coffee, reading a chapter of a book, yoga, journaling, breath work, mediating, sitting outside feeling the sun on your face, pulling tarot/oracle cards. Anything will do. Simply do what makes your heart happy before you take on the necessities of the day.

If you think you canʼt find the time to honor yourself, I assure you there is always time. A perfect place for those who think they do not have extra time in the day, can steal some time in the shower, or even when you are pumping gas. Itʼs the conscious decision to etch some time for your self to replenish and rejuvenate your soul.

Simply, the goal is quiet your mind and fill your cup before your day starts so you can be present and mindful throughout the day. It will also help deepen your spiritual practice and connect you with your angels and guides. It will steady you and ground you before you start your day. Morning rituals benefit yourself and everyone around you.

I now look forward to my morning ritual. Itʼs the small piece of time to honor myself, treat myself and doesnʼt cost any money. Simply, I am using my time for me before I give it to others. My morning ritual can change depending on what my soul wants me to to that day. One thing remains the same. When I make the time for my morning ritual, my days are a little calmer, a little brighter and a little more present.

There is no better time than now. Letʼs all start our day off lighter and brighter by honoring ourselves and our journey through our morning ritual.
